Last year, Jerrod Carmichael received his big break when NBC green-lit his pilot for “The Carmichael Show,” which became a success. The first season of the show was such a success, NBC didn’t wait to renew the show for a second season. It is already a favorite among fans.
“The Carmichael Show” reflects Jerrod Carmichael’s North Carolina roots. Carmichael is a native of Winston-Salem and the show is based in the city of Charlotte. This lays a rare backdrop for a show that comes on network television.
Recently, Michelle Madison was back with Hip Hop Vibe and on the set of “The Carmichael Show.” While there, she spoke with Jerrod Carmichael and Amber Stevens, the lead characters of the show. The two talked about the current social climate in relation to the show, along with their chemistry.
