Mecklenberg County DA will hold a press conference at 10:30 AM in Uptown Charlotte to reveal decision on whether to charge CMPD officers over #KeithScott murder

keithscottdecisionvidThe summer of 2016 saw some very weird situations happen that ended with police officers killing people. Many believe the people who were killed at the hands of the police were innocent. It has been happening all over the country, but it hit close to home, here in North Carolina.

Keith Lamont Scott is a Charlotte resident, who was killed in his own yard, waiting for his son to get off the bus. When his son finally did arrive, he received the worst possible news for a child. The healing process had to coincide with seeking justice.

This morning, the Mecklenberg County DA has met with Keith Scott’s attorneys to discuss whether charges will be pressed or not. The meeting wrapped a few minutes ago and the DA announced he will arrive at Uptown Charlotte to address the public on the decision. He said he would arrive at 10:30 AM, but reporter, Caroline Vandergriff, says he may run late.
