Mike Conley is out for six to eight weeks after enduring back fracture in last night’s loss against Hornets #Grizzlies

conleyinjured2016igAfter a relatively slow start, the Memphis Grizzlies began heating up and tortured the Charlotte Hornets at home. They blew the team out, beating them by fifteen points. The Hornets did some soul searching and defeated their previous opponent, heading into Memphis.

Revenge was definitely on Charlotte’s mind and they took a big lead early. When the third quarter started, Mike Conley went off and he cut into the Hornets’ lead. Just when the Grizzlies got good rhythm, a battle for position led to Mike Conley going down.

Mike Conley missed the rest of the game, a blowout home loss, and the injury report is out now. The start point guard, currently highest-paid player in NBA history, will be out for six to eight weeks after fracturing his back. This is tough for Memphis, as they are suddenly on a losing streak.
