Speaking of childhoods, it gets no more 1990s for current generation hip hop kids than Brandy aka Moesha. Early in the 1990s, Brandy emerged as one of the biggest stars in R&B. At the peak of her music career, the “Moesha” sitcom launched and it is an all-time favorite.
Due to Brandy’s frequent public appearances, mostly alongside Ray J on his various reality shows, her actual talent is overlooked. The past decade, plus, has seen Brandy doing much more TV work than music. A lot of her new music also didn’t catch on, as it should have.
But, tonight celebrated all of the music that did catch on. Brandy did her thing when she was hot and it deserved to be celebrated. The entire music world celebrated Brandy and gave her her props for the medley she did.
