Very few artists, if any, can do records with both Beyonce and Sia and them both land in the top five on Billboard. Not only did Sean Paul do this, he did it thirteen years apart. In 2003, Sean Paul and Beyonce did their “Baby Boy” single and, this year with Sia for “Cheap Thrills.”
Sean Paul is a unique artist and he ushered Reggae music back into the mainstream during the 2002-2003 period. However, Sean Paul managed to go on a run from 2002 through 2006. Since then, he fell from mainstream popularity.
“The Breakfast Club” hosted Sean Paul, as he spoke with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. During the interview, he discussed truly being Jamaican, despite what Charlamagne says. Sean Paul would go on to talk about his own new music and other artists making Caribbean music, namely Drake.
