Two years ago, Lil Wayne first took his problems with Birdman public, via social media. Initially, Wayne’s team played it off as though he was hacked. In the midst of this, Lil Wayne fired off even more shots at his “father.”
It worked for as long as it worked and Lil Wayne helped take the whole brand of Cash Money Records to new heights. His Young Money label saw Drake and Nicki Minaj also dominate the game. With his issues with Birdman and the label, Lil Wayne feared they would leave.
Lil Wayne, recently, has been doing for himself, taking matters into his own hands. During his performance, a few weekends ago, Lil Wayne changed his lyric from “I’m a Cash Money millionaire” to “I’m a ROC-A-FELLA” millionaire. This caused Birdman to have a change of heart, as he and Lil Wayne were close to reaching the $50 million deal, but he has ended talks now.
