All year long, DJ Khaled has not ceased to amaze the world. After years of working with Fat Joe and Miami radio, Khaled bet on himself and soon was making stars. His singles helped to launch the careers of such names as Plies and Ace Hood, while making Rick Ross a bigger star.
Lil Wayne also benefited from the DJ Khaled records, which is a major reason why Def Jam gave him a position. After some time with Wayne at Cash Money, DJ Khaled joined Jay Z at Roc Nation. This management deal helped land his partnership with Epic Records.
This year saw DJ Khaled drop such singles as “For Free” with Drake, his signature “I Got The Keys” with Future and Jay Z, and “Do You Mind” with Chris Brown, August Alsina, Nicki Minaj, and many others. All of this pales in comparison to DJ Khaled meeting outgoing president, Barack Obama, something he considers to be his biggest career milestone.
