After being silent for the past two years, outside of random music releases and dissing Birdman, Lil Wayne came back in ignorant fashion. He dismissed Black Lives Matter, saying he never heard of it. But, just months prior, he shouted it out during a performance.
Lil Wayne has been catching flack, all week long, for his insensitive comments. But, the comments weren’t immediately heard by everyone, as T.I. heard it late. Since 2004, T.I. and Lil Wayne have been featured on many of the same songs and done work together.
While T.I. was quite scathing in his open letter to Lil Wayne, he came from a friendly place. Tip made it clear he was willing to help Wayne get involved, but his friend doesn’t seem to be interested. After the story went viral, Lil Wayne tweeted “fk ya.”
