Clearly, Soulja Boy is a man of means if he was getting $50,000 a week from VH1 for “Love & Hip Hop.” Even if Soulja Boy got fired, he did at least ten episodes for three seasons. That, alone, would be enough for most to retire.
But, keep in mind that Soulja Boy made millions at the age of eighteen with “Crank That.” With two platinum albums and then branching out into other business, Soulja Boy amassed a huge net worth. This is why him buying a $6 million penthouse shouldn’t come as a surprise.
Still, DJ Akademiks did research on Soulja Boy’s place and found it on AirBNB, leading him to claim Soulja didn’t really buy the place. Of course, this set Soulja Boy off and he put a video out dissing Akademiks. He would later tell him to show his place and to stop lying on his name.
