Following years of cultivating his following on the mixtape level, the year of 2016 saw Kevin Gates break through on a mainstream level. The price of fame ended up being high for him, though. Unable to break all of his tendencies, Kevin Gates got into a rough situation.
During a 2015 performance, Kevin Gates ended up getting into an altercation with a female fan. Close enough to grab his legs, Gates kicked the woman off him, as she grabbed him. All caught on tape, the story was one of the biggest of 2015.
Kevin Gates was brought up on charges for the incident. This afternoon, the verdict was revealed. Due to his violence, Kevin Gates will have to spend six months in prison, starting in the New Year.
