The current version of Drake is far removed from the “diss me, you’ll never hear a reply for it” era. Not long after this, Jay Z warned him that rappers would try him. No one warned Jay that Drake would not only reply to disses, but also try him.
Drake gained co-signs from many veterans, including Nas, Young Jeezy, Fat Joe, 50 Cent, and many others. Emerging as a new age artist, Drake with Nicki Minaj, Wale, Big Sean, J. Cole, and Ace Hood were considered rap’s next generation. Kid Cudi was also in the mix.
Recently, Kid Cudi has begun taking shots at Kanye West and Pusha T, but they quickly made amends. No different than Cudi, Drake took shots at Pusha, this weekend, but also went at Cudi. Fans were questioning why and Drake explained that Kid Cudi mentions his name too much, when he gets “geeked.”
