Those who have been watching “Atlanta” knew it was only a matter of time before Paperboi (Brian Tyree Henry) went off. A hard-working indie rapper who is finally getting buzz, the man wants money. Who doesn’t?, after all, this is why Earn (Childish Gambino) is here.
Paperboi, Earn, and Darius (Keith Stanfield) were in the club after being booked by Chris (Lucius Baston). They arrived to the club, expecting to be paid $5,000. The entire night was a wash for Paperboi, as he was tired of the club scene, while Earn chased Chris for cash.
After an overall poor night, Paperboi found solace in a girl in the club, portrayed by Antoinette Robinson. But, after finding out she was only hired to entertain him, Paperboi grew more frustrated and asked Earn about the money, learning Chris didn’t pay him. Paperboi put a memorable beatdown on Chris that will not be forgotten by Twitter.
