The past couple of weeks have been great for Dave East, as he is the newest Def Jam signee. Currently, Dave East is one of the hottest rappers in the game. With all the momentum Dave East has, he is living up to the co-signs he has earned.
Dave East built incredible momentum, over the past few years. His rise coincided with Nas purchasing Mass Appeal and launching a label under the brand. When he went for an artist to build around, Nas targeted Dave East for the task.
Before this and after, Dave East has delivered straight hits. This week saw the “Type of Time” music video debut. Given the run Dave East has had and “Type of Time” dropping in the middle of him having so many projects, it was fitting for it to receive Video of the Week honors.
