Since 2012, the Philadelphia 76ers have suffered to no end. The struggle is real for this team and, even when they try to change their culture, they suffer setbacks. Just last week, the Sixers lost Ben Simmons, their top draft pick, to injury.
A couple of years ago, Joel Embiid was their top draft pick and he has yet to officially play a game. Injuries have slowed him down, meanwhile the Sixers have posted historically bad season losses. With new management, the Sixers said their tanking is over, but the losses persist.
Joel Embiid is playing in the NBA preseason, as the Sixers are warming up for the season. A reflection of the past four years of Sixers basketball culminated in this moment from tonight’s game against the Washington Wizards. While going for a drink of Gatorade, Joel Embiid squeezed the bottle too tight and saw his drink spill before it hit his mouth.
