Last fall, “Rosewood” premiered and was introduced as the lead-in for breakout hit, “Empire.” Like “Empire,” “Rosewood” was led by a popular film star, Morris Chestnut this time. He was paired opposite of a feisty lady played by Jaina Lee Ortiz.
Jaina Lee Ortiz plays the role of Annalise Villa, more commonly referred to as Villa. She and Rosewood aka Rosie (Chestnut) solve crime throughout the city of Miami. Also, there is a major attraction between the two, although he is being paired with LeToya Luckett’s character.
Michelle Madison visited the “Rosewood” set on behalf of Hip Hop Vibe and interviewed the cast. In the latest clip, Jaina Lee Ortiz spoke to her about her role on the show and the chemistry with Morris Chestnut. Ortiz would allude to Villa and Rosie probably never getting together, before discussing other projects she and her husband are working on.
