#ThankYouKG: Kevin Garnett announces his retirement from the NBA after 21 seasons

Breaking news from the NBA out of the Minnesota Timberwolves camp, Kevin Garnett has retired. Following twenty-one years and stints with the Timberwolves, Boston Celtics, and Brooklyn Nets, KG is calling it quits. His retirement follows Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan.

This trio of young players helped revitalize the NBA. While Kobe breathed new life into the Lakers with Shaq, Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan put their respective franchises on the map. Unfortunately, KG never brought the Timberwolves a title, but he gave them everything.

Ultimately, Minnesota gave Kevin Garnett everything, trading him to the Boston Celtics to form a super-team and give him his lone championship. To go along with it, Kevin Garnett also played in the 2010 NBA Finals, facing off with Kobe Bryant for the fourth and final time in his playoff career. Now, Kevin Garnett is retired, following his 2015 return to Minnesota.
