Before people go in with the criticism of this not being a hip hop track, this is a real life track. Hip hop was built on the real life experiences, but it has grown. This has allowed for people like Meghan Trainor to make hip hop tracks and feature hip hop superstars like Yo Gotti.
Meghan Trainor premiered her “Better” music video, this week, to very strong reviews. The song tackles a pretty strong topic, but the music video goes much more in-depth. When watching the other content from this week, this video is just leaps and bounds ahead of the others.
There is definitely talent in Meghan Trainor and she has been showing that all year. While “No” is still dominating radio, “Better” is going to take her successfully into the fall. Yo Gotti comforted Meghan Trainor in his verse and the video, which is this week’s Video of the Week.
