Yowda joined Maybach Music during their big expansion, when Rick Ross looked to expand out of just Miami, adding DC, Philadelphia, LA, and Chicago to the label. The newer signees joined his new deal with Warner, while the originals remained at Def Jam. Five years later, Rick Ross is in the background and DJ Khaled firmly holds the spotlight, with “I Got The Keys” with Future and Jay Z owning radio and Yowda flipped the track with Gunplay.
