Over the past few days, San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, has been all over the news. His refusal to stand during the national anthem, last week, drew all kinds of media attention. During tonight’s game, he refused to stand, again.
Racial relations have taken a pitfall over the past couple of years. The murders committed by cops on black people have many people of color questioning if the same rules apply to all. Colin Kaepernick is taking his frustrations out by sitting during the national anthem.
However, his refusal to stand up for America is leading to much backlash from the mainstream. He does have a strong support system within the urban communities, however. The support, mixed with jokes, are all over Twitter with the #KapSoBlack hashtag.
