Before there was all of the love for Beyonce and Rihanna, among many others, there was Mary J. Blige. Her music, directly, influenced both Keyshia Cole and K. Michelle. But, she has been out of the spotlight since her 2011 run, including “Mr. Wrong” with Drake.
Mary J. Blige has her new album coming in the winter of this year, however. She made her return to the VMAs for the first time in eleven years to introduce Rihanna. Being who she is in the industry, of course social media had a lot to say about her.
When Mary J. Blige came out, she immediately became the trending topic. Clearly, she was reading her Rihanna comments on a teleprompter, and clearly her outfit was snug. This, and other things, had Twitter buzzing about her.
