Since 2010, there has been a gradual shift in power in the world of hip hop. There were five solid years when Lil Wayne was the biggest artist on the planet. Slowly, the power began shifting to Drake, even as Wayne was still top five.

By 2014, Drake clearly was hip hop’s biggest name, lending his voice to the “Believe Me” single. All appeared well with Cash Money Records, as they had just signed Juvenile and Lil Wayne had his album. But, this was when Lil Wayne began dissing Birdman.

In interviews, Birdman often says Lil Wayne is still his son and they see each other daily. Earlier this year, the two briefly reunited and their fallout was detailed on BET’s “Music Moguls,” from Birdman’s perspective. But, at Lil Wayne’s Lil Weezyana Fest, streamed on Jay Z’s TIDAL, he let the audience know that he is still “fuck Cash Money.”
