In a ten year span, DJ Khaled has continued showing the world what a real success looks like. During his days as a Miami radio DJ, most would have thought Khaled was in good position. Then, him being an official DJ for Fat Joe circa “Lean Back” got him even higher marks.
DJ Khaled flipped this into anthems with Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy, then, eventually, Drake and Jay Z. Boasting a Def Jam executive role, partnerships with Cash Money, turning into Epic and Roc Nation, it’s been a journey. Now, Khaled is hosting the VMAs pre-show.
Tonight, DJ Khaled did his thing, interviewing Future, Ty Dolla $ign, Chance The Rapper, Fat Joe and Remy Ma, and Diddy. Each interview was more comical than the last and Khaled killed it with kindness. His act was appreciated by Twitter, who liked seeing Khaled in the place of Sway, who can now be found at sister channel, VH1.
