Last night was the “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” season finale on VH1. As those who follow the cast on social media already know, D. Smith is not returning for season six. Easily, D. Smith was one of the most-controversial people in the history of the “Love & Hip Hop” franchise.

The controversy from D. Smith did not come from her being a transgender woman, however. Instead, the controversy came from how forceful D. Smith was in making people accept her. When Tammy Rivera reached out to be a friend, D met her with hostility over Waka.

D. Smith picked several fights with Tammy over comments Waka made and went at Lil’ Scrappy for similar reasons. Other fights she picked included with Bambi and K. Michelle, among others. Last night, during the season finale, one person tweeted about D, insulting her, calling her an improper representation of the transgender community.
