The 1990s were really a simpler time, as the technology enjoyed now was in its infancy. Those who grew up in that era appreciate it for being the last era where kids were active outside, but also had technology. A lot has changed over the years.

“Family Matters” was also a big deal in the 1990s, as Steve Urkel, portrayed by Jaleel White, took over the world. His obsession over the beautiful Laura Winslow (Kellie Williams) made the show. As over the top as it was, “Family Matters” lasted nine years and made TGIF.

Tonight, “Family Matters” has begun trending on Twitter. Outside of those who are questioning why it is trending, it has made for a very active conversation. Fans are discussing the likelihood of Carl (Reginald VelJohnson) in real life being a cop and allowing Steve to harass Laura, what happened to Judy (Jaimee Foxworth), and the death of Michelle Thomas (Myra).
