A golden opportunity (no pun intended) slipped away from the Thunder, last night. Most NBA fans understood how the Thunder could lose game five in Oakland to the Warriors. Typically, teams up 3-1 drop game five on the road, so in Oracle, it was no question.
Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook came into game six heavily favored to win, seeing how close they played Golden State. Still, it was hard to see Steph Curry’s 73-9 squad going out in six in the Conference Finals. Despite trailing the entire time, the Warriors came back to win.
Following the game, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook did their postgame interview, discussing the loss. Obviously, they made a lot of mistakes, late in the game, to a team that punishes every mistake their opponents make. They will meet back up in Oakland for game seven on Monday.
