Urban and hip hop media is, arguably, the most difficult form of entertainment to work in. It becomes difficult to report certain stories, or have an opinion because the artists can become sensitive. If anyone knows this, it is “The Breakfast Club,” more than anyone.
In a little over four years, “The Breakfast Club” has become the top urban morning radio show. Much of this is due to Charlamagne Tha God, hip hop’s Stephen A. Smith. Known for his offbeat, hilarious, comments, Charlamagne has gained a lot of enemies.
Birdman finally showed up at “The Breakfast Club,” primarily to check Charlamagne over his comments. This afternoon’s airing of “The Breakfast Club” was a rerun of Charlamagne Tha God giving Bow Wow the Donkey of the Day, which prompted Shad to go in on him on Twitter and Instagram. Diffusing the situation, Charlamagne wished him well and said he feels like life is a sketch comedy show, sometimes.
