Over the course of his career, Wale has seemed forever to be one thing away from truly taking over. Following a tumultuous start to his career, despite Jay Z adding him to Roc Nation, Wale joined Maybach Music. A move questioned by most paid off within months.
Wale joined Maybach Music in 2011 and released Ambition later that year. There are many who feel that was Wale’s best album and while that can be debated, it did contain the most hits. Since then, Wale has not reached the same level of commercial success.
Working on his fifth album, Wale talked to “The Breakfast Club,” sitting down with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. During the interview, Wale spoke on what it will take for him to reach the next level. The interview also saw Wale address the past tension with Meek Mill and Shine, the new album.
