This week saw T.I. reemerge as one of the top figures in hip hop, which he’s been for the past thirteen years. However, things have been noticeably different since T.I. returned from prison in 2011. After watching him on “Inside The Label,” perhaps it was by design.
There are many parallels between T.I. and Jay Z, with their respective careers. The two are close friends, outside of the career comparisons, and they have the same mentality. Fittingly, T.I. would join Jay Z as a partner in TIDAL, where his next album drops.
Tonight was supposed to continue T.I.’s dominating week, but this ended up not being the case. Following tons of promotion, T.I.’s show was cancelled after shots rang out. Multiple were injured during the frenzy.
