Silently, Andre (Trai Byers) has stolen the show on “Empire” as the breakout star. Many fans feel for him, as he suffers from mental illness, which was highlighted this season. In the midst of all he was suffering, Andre found God and tried to change his life.
Throughout season two, Andre has tried to juggle being an Empire employee with his newfound religion. Even the death of his unborn child hasn’t wavered his faith. Tonight’s episode revealed Andre recalibrated his meds.
When Jamal (Jussie Smollett) was released from the hospital, the family requested him to sing at Hakeem’s (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray) wedding. Jamal refused and when he did, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) revealed Andre got ordained to officiate the wedding. This led to a lot of reactions from the “Empire” viewers on Twitter.
