Last week, “Empire” ended with a bang, literally. A drunken Carol (Tasha Smith) told Freda (Bre-Z) that Lucious (Terrence Howard) is who killed her father, Frank (Chris Rock). Angry, Freda stole a gun and tried to shoot Lucious, but hit Jamal (Jussie Smollett), instead.
Playing up the drama, Jussie Smollett took to Twitter and spoke on enjoying his time on “Empire” and moving on. Some took this seriously, but others began speculating. Upcoming “Empire” spoilers suggest that this is only a scare, as Jamal is still included.
Yesterday, FOX held their upfront presentations for advertisers. Clearly, they had “Empire” front and center, as it is the number one show on television, period. At the upfronts, Jussie Smollett was also front and center, stopping to take some pictures.
