Lee Daniels addresses racism in Hollywood, saying they expect black producers to take scraps and make gold from it #Empire [VIDEO]

LeedanielsrantvidCurrently, Lee Daniels is winning with “Empire,” the show is on fire, doing two seasons in one year. Giving in, a little, to the demand from the network and the fans paid off. Fans were interested in seeing a drama starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson.

While fans may have come for the film veterans, breakout acting performances from Jussie Smollett, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, and Trai Byers have kept them there. Breakout acting and celebrity appearances have made “Empire” number one. But, there is more work to be done.

This morning, Lee Daniels took to his Instagram to vent about the racism that still exists. In Hollywood, like most other places, the black audience and creators are not expected to perform or succeed at the same level. Lee Daniels called this “giving scraps” to black producers and expecting them to “make gold” out of it.
