A couple of years ago, Drake climbed to the top of the hip hop mountain to become a force. During this time, critics stopped calling him “soft” and just began enjoying the music. The question was posed of what would come next for Drake, no one guessed this.
Drake simply continued delivering good music, completing the blurring of the album/mixtape line with his platinum 2015 release. Soon, Jay Z and others further complicated things with the streaming wars. Despite talking to Jay, Drake joined Apple Music.
Here, after giving fans a two year wait since the announcement, Jay Z dropped Views, his fourth album. The album has done well in a little over a day since it’s been out, selling 600,000 copies in the first day. Overall, Views is expected to move over 1 million albums in physical sales.
