After some informative and interesting interviews on “The Breakfast Club,” many 90s labels are now doing documentaries. Both Irv Gotti and Andre Harrell did powerful interviews. The way they discussed their labels made fans want more.
Seizing the opportunity, BET launched “Inside The Label” and, thus far, they have episodes on Uptown Records and Murder Inc. In addition to this, there is now a Cash Money Records piece in the works. However, this looks more like Straight Outta Compton than a documentary.
Recently, Birdman and his brother, Slim, visited Brooklyn Law School and they discussed the Straight Outta Compton success. Already, their fellow New Orleans music entrepreneur, Master P, is doing a No Limit biopic. While there, the Williams brothers revealed their biopic was coming.
