One of the pioneers in morning urban talk radio is Doug Banks, who was a longtime force in the game. Based in Texas, Doug Banks was one of the biggest competitors to Tom Joyner. Of course, their careers took different turns, but both remained forces in the industry.

 

This afternoon, shocking news was revealed about Doug Banks, that the talk show veteran died. Because of the legacy he built, Doug Banks’ death impacted the entire industry. Immediately, Doug Banks began trending on Twitter.

Dying at 57 years old, Doug Banks has a lot of support from friends and industry peers, alike.
