Last summer, Meek Mill made a critical move that impacted both his career and Drake’s. Until this moment, the two appeared to be good friends, as they often worked together. Their union showed the continued Maybach Music/Young Money alliance.
When Rick Ross added Wale and Meek Mill to Maybach Music, there were rumors of Birdman adding them to Cash Money Records. Now, ironically, Birdman and Rick Ross are beefing. Their situation stems from the Meek Mill/Drake rivalry.
Most consider Meek Mill to be the loser in the Drake rivalry. The bigger loss, ‘L,’ for him came when 50 Cent was dragged into the beef and, soon, Irv Gotti was involved and Meek Mill was overshadowed by them. But, he is now firmly back in the spotlight and revealed he has his “Summer Sixteen” remix in the works.
