Read the entire interview below:

Being a native of Toronto, how do you feel about all of the emerging talent coming from your city? I’m so excited that my city is finally getting the chance to really showcase all the talent we have to offer. It’s about time the world knows whats up in the 6ix!

How do you feel about the success of “Hit The Switch”, your new single? I’m feeling great! I’m so blessed and happy that the fans and new people are responding so well to the track and are supporting this new movement.

Do you believe this single can be the anthem of the summer? So far, everyone that heard the single said they love dancing to it and the energy and vibe altogether, so I can only imagine it most definitely can be!

You’ve been living in Los Angeles for quite some time, what has been your favorite experience of living in Hollywood? My favorite experience so far has been going to a lot of studios and meeting/working with really dope writers, producers and artists.

Who are some established celebrities that have given you some words of wisdom and other support? I’ve met so many the past couple of years and they’ve all told me similar things, like to never give up on my dreams. To keep grinding and putting in the work and not paying attention to what anyone else thinks and just be me.

Are there any plans for you to begin working more with established names? It’s already in the works, I’ve been very low-key these past 6 months on who I’m working with and writing for, but everything will fall into place and unfold very soon!

Can you tell us more about your song, “Saved a Boyfriend” you released last year? “Saved a Boyfriend” was produced and written by The Invaders. The song is about being in a relationship with someone that isn’t truly giving you everything you want from them in a relationship so you “saved a boyfriend for a rainy day, and another in case he didn’t change”

Is there an album soon in the works for you? I’m currently working on releasing the video for my new single “Hit The Switch”, following the release of another single in the Spring/Summer. But, yes I definitely have an album in the works!

Where can the fans connect with you on social media? Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube; @alexaferrmusic.
