In 2015, “Empire” was the most-successful show on television. The first season even saw every episode break TV records in ratings. This unprecedented growth was a big win for hip hop culture, urban entertainment, and of course, Lee Daniels and Danny Strong.
“Empire” stars Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, two legends in the hip hop community for their film roles. They have definitely brought it in a weekly show. But, there were breakout performances from their onscreen sons, Trai Byers, Jussie Smollett, and Bryshere “Yazz” Gray.
The first week of December saw “Empire” season two go into hiatus and the return is slated for March 30. Everyone is excited for the return of the show so they can find out what happened to Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday). Several spoilers are circulating the internet.

Rhonda survives the fall down the flight of the stairs, but the baby does die.
Hakeem (Gray) is appointed the head of Empire and runs it with Camilla (Naomi Campbell.) Lucious (Howard) plans to kill him, but Cookie (Henson) convinces him to wait 48 hours for her to get the company back.
Lucious takes Hakeem to the place where he killed Bunkie and gives Hakeem a gun, telling him if he doesn’t kill him there, the next time he sees him, Lucious will kill Hakeem.
Hakeem almost goes through with killing Lucious, but refuses to after asking Lucious if he wanted him to kill him, saying he was tired of doing what Lucious wants.
Meanwhile, Lucious ends up recording at Cookie and Hakeem’s label, Lyon Dynasty.
Hakeem breaks up with Laura (Jamila Velazquez.)
