Now, likely more than ever, it is possible for up-and-coming artists to score hits. Last year, 2 Milly took the game over with “Milly Rock” and he got support from Maino and Rick Ross. 2 Milly is a part of the group, Sturdy Gang, and there are plenty of members.
Mr. Graaaaa and Hoolie Gu are members and they looked to create a new identity with Only Fukk With Us, their latest mixtape. While they are a part of a globally recognized brand, they want to show their diversity. How well they did on this is up for debate.
Bringing the new New York sound, Mr. Graaaaa and Hoolie Gu definitely opened the project hard. But, nothing they opened up with was anything truly groundbreaking or separated their sound from the other groups from New York. Furthermore, their music sounds as if they are trying too hard to fit in with what is already out.
While their sound is up for debate, Mr. Graaaaa and Hoolie Gu clearly love their music. They have a history of making hits and their latest offering, Only Fukk With Us, is definitely filled with potential hits. Clearly, the duo know their market and they gave the people exactly what they want to hear, as this is what is all over the internet and the radio.
Overall, Only Fukk With Us does come with a generic and commercial sound, but generic and commercial does not make it bad quality. There are definitely worse ways to spend time and there is definitely worse music to listen to. Both Mr. Graaaaa and Hoolie Gu did their thing on this tape and they proved they know how to open and close a project.
