Dating back to December, there have been rumors of Rita Ora growing frustrated with Roc Nation. Last month, news broke of Rita Ora filing a lawsuit against Roc Nation for $8 million. A rumor even began about her promising to leak information about Jay Z to the media.
Currently, Jay Z is riding high, after Rihanna’s surprise album release is over 1 million streams in only a few days. This, paired with the Samsung deal, means a lot of revenue for the Jay Z-owned companies. So, this means Roc Nation has done their job.
Rita Ora not only signed a five album deal with Roc Nation, she also received investment money from the company. In eight years on the label, she has only released one album. Because of this, Roc Nation is countersuing Rita Ora for $2.4 million.
