Few rappers have endured the type of hardship Boosie has faced over the course of his career. Although he was known in the early 2000s, it was not until 2006 that Boosie caught on. Enjoying only three short years of fame, Boosie spent the next five in prison.
Two years ago, Boosie was finally released from prison and he delivered a single, immediately. However, Boosie would wait an entire year before releasing his album. Upon release, his album would become a tremendous success.
Before the end of 2015, Boosie faced more difficult news, when he learned he had pancreatic cancer. Always a fighter, Boosie did what he had to do to beat the nasty disease and he had successful surgery to remove the tumor. Apparently, there are people who had something to say about the legitimacy of his cancer and Boosie had an Instagram message for them.
