By now, most have probably gotten over their “Empire” withdrawals, but the show is coming back soon. Picking up where we left off, and hopefully doing much better at it, Hip Hop Vibe is counting down more big moments. Since today is Wednesday, it was the perfect time.
When “Empire” returned for season two, the roles were reversed. The new strong relationships were Jamal (Jussie Smollett) and Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) and Hakeem (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray). The show began with the opposite alliances.
The only thing that remained the same was the animosity between the brothers. But, Jamal fully embraced being Lucious’ chosen son, even when Cookie was protecting the family from Frank Gathers (Chris Rock). As soon as the family was safe, Jamal rudely kicked them out of Lucious’ home, prompting Cookie to fry his jaws not once, but TWICE.
