Lil’ Mama talks current project, Big Sean, and more with #TheBreakfastClub [VIDEO]

Lil Mama Breakfast ClubIn 2007, Lil’ Mama looked like she was going to be the next female artist to change the game. Many people felt this way, because Lil’ Mama was initially co-signed by Lil’ Kim. Not only this, she burst out the gate with “Lip Gloss,” one of 2007’s first hits.

The year of 2007 was huge for Lil’ Mama, but her career soon began a consistent downward spiral. She had a bright spot in 2008, when she was featured on “Shawty Get Loose” from T-Pain. Hard times came, however, when her mother died.

Lil’ Mama also came under scrutiny for interrupting Jay Z and Alicia Keys’ performance during the 2009 VMAs. When Lil’ Mama last visited “The Breakfast Club,” Charlamagne Tha God made her cry. This morning, she returned and discussed her new project, whether or not she is dating Big Sean, and she buried the hatchet with Charlamagne, also speaking with Angela Yee and DJ Envy.
