It seems as if there is a tragedy every year during the Christmas season and this time it happened right here in Charlotte. This would be sad news under any circumstance, but this one hurts a little more. The world is just beginning to take notice of Charlotte’s hip hop scene.
A man making his name in Charlotte is Donkey Cartel, who is in the midst of putting a project out. After having what he considered a successful 2015, he was already planning for 2016. Within weeks, he planned to release a new mixtape early in January.
Donkey Cartel had done well, but his dream will not be realized as he imagined, unfortunately. There was a shooting at the North Lake Mall in Charlotte, this afternoon. Sadly, there were some fatalities and Donkey Cartel was among them and his friends and fans are all over his social media wishing him well.
