There is always a lot said about Drake, especially this year, because he was on top of things. Outside of Drake, Future also experienced tons of success, this year. But, Chris Brown also did his thing and furthered the trends of growing hip hop.

Chris Brown put together an album with Tyga at the beginning of the year. He did this in order to help his friend keep the momentum going with his music. All year, however, Chris Brown has kept his focus on his own solo album, Royalty.

This time around, Chris Brown didn’t have a single like “Loyal” to propel his sales. However, this did not stop him from going out and dominating when his album dropped. The new album, Royalty, is number one all over the charts and is projected to sell 135,000 copies in its first week.
