Jadakiss explains six year hiatus between albums and talks kids and marriage with “The Real” [VIDEO]

Jadakiss The RealConsidered one of hip hop’s top lyricists, Jadakiss is one of the most-coveted rappers in the game. Holding it down as one of the grittiest artists out, few things hurt him. Fearlessly, he has supported the likes of an unpopular Ja Rule and gone at both 50 Cent and Diddy.

Along the way, Jadakiss ruffled feathers with Jay Z, but eventually signed to Def Jam under his watch. While Jadakiss has accomplished a lot, he has only put out four albums. His fourth album came following a five year hiatus and Jadakiss then promised an album a year.

Jadakiss, in turn, waited another six years before finally dropping his fourth album, Top 5 Dead or Alive, this year. Sitting down with “The Real,” Jadakiss explained that he took time off, intentionally, to learn the digital adaptation of the game. He revealed he also had twin boys and a new relationship to foster.
