Rick Ross exceeds expectations, as #BlackMarket sold 50,000 copies in first week

Since 2010, Rick Ross has remained one of the biggest names in hip hop. Before this, Rick Ross made noise, because he fearlessly started a rivalry with 50 Cent. Thinking strategically, Rick Ross united with all of the enemies 50 Cent had in the industry.

Waging war, Rick Ross got Game, Fat Joe, Ja Rule, and Bang ‘Em Smurf to aid him in his quest. Each situation gained Rick Ross a new supporter, though Fat Joe was always in his corner and an indirect reason for the beef. But, Rick Ross is now focused on much more.

As big as Rick Ross is, critics often detract from him due to his overall low record sales. Acknowledging that he doesn’t sell as well as many others, Rick Ross stated that he is making more money than them all. Initial record sales projections had Ross’ new album, Black Market, selling 34,000 copies, which 50 Cent mocked, but it actually sold 50,000 in its first week.
