During season two of “Love & Hip Hop,” VH1 decided to expand on the day-to-day life of Yandy Smith. Introduced as Jim Jones’ personal assistant, Yandy made life tough on Jones’ girlfriend, Chrissy. But, she would later become a focal point of the show.
Yandy’s relationship with Mendeecees soon took center stage, as he is an imposing force. Not only this, but Yandy helped raise his son, had a child of her own with him, and dealt with him having another child. On top of this, Mendeecees spent plenty of time in jail due to drug charges.
Mendeecees was met with some bad news, just as “Love & Hip Hop” is set to return to television screens. The reality star was sentenced to 97 months behind bars for his part in a federal drug case. Accepting his fate, due to his own actions, Mendeecees released a statement to the online world about what is happening.
