This week, there was big news coming from Toronto, as Belly confirmed signing with Roc Nation. Silently, the year of 2015 has been a big year for the Jay Z-led company. They have added all kinds of talent and it was only a matter of time before they tapped into Toronto.
Prior to this, Jay Z narrowly missed out on landing Drake for his streaming venture, TIDAL. But, there were no misses when Belly signed to Roc Nation. This deal always stood a good chance of going through, as Belly was always a big Jay Z fan.
Recently, Belly sat down with Hot 97, speaking with Ebro, Peter Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez. A good portion of the interview was spent talking about signing with Jay Z’s company after growing up a fan of him. He would also discuss how he met The Weeknd and his new music.
