Over the past couple of months, Belly has built a big fan base on the internet. Most know Belly for his affiliation with The Weeknd and one of the bigger up-and-comers. Coming up alongside Drake, Belly has come a long way.
Like many rappers who are emerging, Belly is making his impact as an unsigned artist. Typically, artists hold out and negotiate for bigger deals and some remain independent. It looks like Belly did the first of those two options.
Belly is still one of the more popular up-and-comers, but he is no longer an unsigned artist. His deal comes with one of the biggest record labels in the industry. The label is Roc Nation, the Jay Z-led label that is seemingly signing everyone and they made the announcement via Twitter.
