Earlier this year, Jay Z made a power move intended to put the control of music back into the hands of creators. Known for savvy business moves, this was one of Jay Z’s riskier choices. But, TIDAL became a thing and many high profile artists joined, including Jason Aldean.

Last year, Jason Aldean took his music off Spotify due to concerns of compensation for the creators of his music. Given his stance, it made sense for him to join Jay Z at TIDAL. However, not everyone has TIDAL, as opposed to Spotify, a free platform.

Earlier this week, Jason Aldean’s music appeared on Spotify again and music industry insiders had questions. Initially, Jason Aldean was quiet about the situation, but he broke his silence yesterday. Taking to Instagram, Jason Aldean said he wanted to make sure everyone could hear his music, but he is still concerned about compensation.
